About.

I’m Bimal Lakhani, a product and innovation leader with a background in rehabilitation neuroscience.

I help teams in science, health, and tech bring their ideas to life and turn them into real products. I’ve spent over 15 years working across startups, corporate innovation, and academic research, and have published more than 40 peer-reviewed papers. My work blends strategy, product development, scientific thinking, and facilitation to move projects forward.

I’ve led product development for regulated medical devices, guided cross-functional teams to accelerate innovation, and mentored researchers making the leap into applied work. I specialize in facilitating collaboration and workshops that generate ideas and move projects ahead, with a focus on clear communication, teamwork, and solutions that make a difference.

I live in Vancouver but grew up around Toronto, so I’m a die-hard fan of Toronto’s sports teams: Leafs, Raptors, Jays, and Sceptres. I’m also ready to cheer for my first local team out west, PWHL Vancouver.

Outside work, I’m usually on the ice playing hockey or chasing any sport that keeps me moving. Weekends are for making fresh pasta, hunting the best burgers around town, and long walks with my dog, Bodhi. I also spend time crafting the perfect joke for a standup comedy set I may or may not ever perform.

If you’re building something new, facing a tough challenge, or just want to swap burger recommendations, let’s connect.
